SQME Extruder Motor, for a better extrusion quality

Extrusion is a process used to create objects of a fixed cross-sectional profile. A material is pushed through a die of the desired cross-section. The two main advantages of this process over other manufacturing processes are its ability to create very complex cross-sections, and to work materials that are brittle, because the material only encounters compressive and shear stresses. It also forms parts with an excellent surface finish. (*)

The classical extruder machine comprises an AC-Motor, a gearbox and/or belt and/or a cooling system.. Each used additional component reduces the efficiency of the machine. The SQME Extruder Motor has 6 to 10 poles windings on the stator, but it has unusual high pole number 66 to 110, which is achieved by a magnetic principle. Having unbeatable efficiency at the full range of torque and speed allows reducing cost and protecting the environment. The pole number is almost 3 times higher than standard torque motor.

The high pole number allows great speed stability for precise extrusion which is very important for medical hose, film, cable industries and laboratory.
