Conveyor type

This tool only covers troughed belt conveyors on idlers. For other types, complete and submit the form — our engineers will calculate it and get back to you.

Incline profile

Geometry

Centre-to-centre distance between head and tail pulleys. Conveyors below 80 m are not calculated by this tool.

Conveying direction

Vertical difference between infeed and discharge. Enter 0 for a horizontal conveyor.

Load and speed

Conveyed material

Sizing uses the peak capacity. If unknown, enter the normal capacity.

Outside diameter including lagging — measured with a tape.

Leave empty if unknown; we compute it from the pulley diameter and rpm.

Can be left empty if you entered the belt speed.
