The New Flour Mills
Aybakar is one of our customers and produces wheat flour mill machines that produces broken wheat, flour, semolina and bran. Mainly wheat is loaded to the machine and the speed of the rolls are changed depending on the needs of the machine and the production capacity. The speed may be really low or be really high. The gearbox and motor systems don’t have wide varieties of speed ranges. To achieve high torques at low speeds bigger motors were used so the efficiency was low and the initial investment was high.
We have advised the machine manufacturer to use our SQM71-100 frame motors in their machines. They have installed a motor to each of the rolls. These two motors worked synchronously at every speed. We don’t need gearboxes and our sizes are really small so the torque motors could easily be mounted on the machine, which also saved space.
The asynchronous motors used with gearboxes were overheated and could not produce enough torque at low speeds. There are no problems left after using SQM torque motors. The feed roll motors could work at any speed with full torque which also increased the quality of the product. The motors are high efficient and they don’thave fans that causes the flour to spead around. Because there is no gearbox and no oil used in the motors, there is no risk of oil leakage to the product which assures increased hygene. The motors also needs no maintenance and has really a short pay back period.
